The Marine Corps Mustang Colonel Mitchell Paige, Medal of Honor, U.S. Marine Corps – Deceased , Spirit Award is presented by the Marine Corps Mustang Association to a Marine 2nd Lieutenant or Warrant Officer from the Graduating Class at the Basic School, Quantico, Virginia starting with the Warrant Officers Basic Class 1-90. The award will be presented to the former enlisted Marine in the class who best displays those qualities of a Marine “Mustang” as exhibited by attitude, leadership and Esprit de Corps. The recipient of the Mustang Colonel Mitchell Paige, Medal of Honor, U.S. Marine Corps – Deceased, Spirit Award shall be selected by the fellow students of the class and approved by the Commanding Officer of the Basic School. The recipient must meet service criteria for membership in the Marine Corps Mustang Association as established by the Membership Committee.
